MASAKA: The Easter holiday ended in cheers for Zzimwe parish FC in Bukoto Central Constituency, Masaka District after retaining the 2023 Sebamala Easter Cup. Zzimwe FC was also the 2022 champion of the same tournament.
Zzimwe FC won the Sebamala Easter Football Cup after defeating Bbuliro FC in a highly competitive game which ended in Penalties. The Winner and the runners up all shared huge prizes worth millions of shillings.
Eng. Hon. Richard Sebamala, the Bukoto Central Member of Parliament and patron of the tournament said the Annual Sebamala cup is meant to strengthen the four pillars of Talent development, interaction, Unity, and Business to Business growth.
“Since 2019, we’ve been able to save an impressive 50 million annually to conclude Easter celebrations with the SEBAMALA EASTER FOOTBALL CUP, a tournament that embodies the values of Unity, Business, Talent, and Networking amongst the constituents.”

Bukoto central comprises of 9 Parishes which include Zzimwe, Kyantale, Buyaga, Buyinja, Bbuliro, Kyesiiga, Bugere, Kamuzinda and Kitunga, making the two sub counties of Kyanamukaaka and Kyesiiga. Each Parish presented a team in the Sebamala Easter cup 2023.
A number of games were played during the football tournament under group stages, not until 2 teams qualified to play the final game.
On top of other on-going activities in Bukoto central constituency, the Sebamala Cup will return next year 2024. Kyesiiga Sub County will host the opening game.
