Buganda Kingdom sports officials have confirmed the dates and venue for the 2022 Masaza Cup and Bika tournament finals.
The Kingdom Minister for Sports and Leisure Owek. Henry Ssekabembe Kiberu while addressing the Media on Thursday February 9th 2023 at Bulange Mengo, said the awaited Masaza cup finals will be played on Saturday March 4th 2023 while Bika tournament finals will be held on 11th March 2023 at the Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
Minister Ssekabembe Kiberu also confirmed that ordinary tickets will go for 20,000 Ug shs while 50,000 Ug shs for the VIP ticket at Masaza cup finals and 10,000/= for ordinary, 20,000/= for VIP at Bika tournament.

This year, the Masaza cup final will be played between Buddu Ssaza and Busiro Ssaza while Bika tournament will be played between “Olugave and Endiga” for football and Engeye Vs Emmamba Gabunga for Netball.
The Minister said this year’s final has been shifted from St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende ,that hosted the previous finals and also apologized for the prolonged delays to play both tournament finals which he explained that were caused by unforeseen challenges and the Kingdom tight schedule of Programmes.
Buddu eliminated Bulemeezi at the semi final stage last year in October while Busiro saw off Ssingo 4-3 on aggregate to reach the finals.
Buddu, who are defending champions will be seeking to defend their title they won in 2021 when they beat Buwekula 2-0 and also become the first team in Masaza cup history to defend it.
For Busiro, who are 2019 runners up, they will be seeking for their maiden title when they face off with Buddu at Wankulukuku. Buddu advanced to their third successive final after dumping out two time champions Bulemeezi on away goal’s rule following a 2-all aggregate draw.
Gomba are the record champions of this championship that only accommodates non-Uganda Premier League, FUFA Big League, Uganda Cranes, U-23 and U-20 players.
The tournament is jointly sponsored by Airtel Uganda, Centenary Bank, UNAIDS, CBS Radio and BBS Telefayina.
