MASAKA: As companies, individuals and Organisations across the country through their corporate social responsibility campaigns join hands to support Muslims during this holy month of Ramadan, prominent philanthropist Lubowa Ssebina Gyaviira through his NGO Lubowa Ssebina Foundation has also joined efforts by supporting the Muslim Community in Masaka city with various food items
Some of the recipients included Imams and Sheikhs from various mosques in Nnyendo Mukungwe municipality which included sugar, salt, flour and other items.
The items were handed over to Sheikh Kasimu Kiyemba, the head of Bukoto East Muslim province.
Sheik Kasimu Kiyemba praised Mr. Lubowa Ssebina and his Foundation for his sacrifice to Muslims in Masaka city.
Mr. Lubowa Ssebina Gyaviira the Patron to Lubowa Ssebina Foundation said there is many unifying factors between Muslims and other religions thus the need to stand together with them during this fasting period as a sign of good relationship rather than creating divisions amongst people.
“As part of our longstanding commitment to supporting the Muslim community, we believe that it is our responsibility of the community to share the little we have with you for Ramadan. Mr. Lubowa said.
He also said that religious leaders are the only ones who have to save the country which seems to be in turmoil and asked Muslims to be part of the efforts.
The recipients commended Mr. Lubowa Ssebina Gyaviira for his humanitarian heart and remembering them whenever there is a need.
Lubowa Ssebina Foundation was established in the Year 2020. Its establishment was a realization of a dream long born by the founder; Lubowa Ssebina Gyaviira, who for quite some time has involved in activities that are meant to improve the livelihood of the Communities to which he is linked.
