Rev. Canon Enos Kitto Kagodo elected 5th Bishop of Mukono Diocese.
The House of Bishops has today elected The Very Rev. Enos Kitto Kagodo of St. Phillips and Andrews Mukono as the 5th Bishop of Mukono Diocese replacing Bishop James William Ssebaggala.
Early 2022, Mukono embarked on the search for a new bishop to replace Rt Rev James William Ssebaggala who clocked the Anglican Church mandatory 65 years of retirement.
Bishop Ssebaggala was consecrated as the fourth Bishop of Mukono Diocese on September 19, 2010, replacing Bishop Emeritus Eria Paul Luzinda.
The newly elected Bishop Kitto will be consecrated and enthroned on 26th February 2023 according to sources from the House of Bishops sitting at Lweza-Wakiso.
Rev. Enos Kitto was born on 13th December 1968 at Nakisunga sub county in Mukono District. He was ordained a Deacon in June 2002 in Mukono Diocese and then made Priest in December 2009. He is Married to Catherine Namuddu and God has blessed them with seven biological children and many spiritual children.
Some of the achievements made by Bishop Ssebaggala include the construction of new schools, diocesan administration and synod halls, the Bishop’s home, and the clergy pension house.
Besides, Bishop Ssebaggala ensured the transformation of the Namirembe health facility into a hospital, established purple pharmacies, diocesan Sacco, cottage industries, nursing school, reclaimed church land, revamped Lwanyonyi farm as well as increased the arch-deaconries from six to twelve. He also reclaimed Bishop East and West schools from government to private management

The House of Bishops comprises diocesan and assistant bishops from the 37 provincial dioceses. The provincial chancellor presides over the election.
Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe Elected 6th Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese
On the other hand, Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe has been elected the 6 th Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese.
He will be consecrated and enthroned as Bishop on 12th March 2023 at Emmanuel Cathedral, Kinyansano, Rukungiri. Rev Onesimus was born on 24th April 1965 in Mparo, Rukiga District.

Rev. Onesimus is currently the Chaplain of St. Francis Chapel, Makerere University.
Rev Onesimus earned a Master of Divinity from Uganda Christian University, a Bachelor of Education from Makerere University, and a Diploma in Education from the National Teachers College in Kabale.
